PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 82 p4p, 38 weight class) and Heavy Rain (ranked 11 p4p, 6 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rain's choice of entrance music: For Heavy Metal we will die!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heavy Rain!

Rain does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've been hearing reports that Kerr has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rain takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kerr with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rain to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kerr cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Kerr will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rain fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kerr checks it well.

Kerr shoots in but Rain avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Kerr counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Rain badly! He tries to strike back but Kerr puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Rain out cold! Oh man, Rain will never hear the end of this one!
