Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Radio Active (ranked 104 p4p, 87 weight class) and Jesse Point (ranked 12 p4p, 11 weight class). Active comes into the arena with For Heavy Metal we will die! blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Active closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Point to the mat! Point manages to get full guard.
Point wants to stand but Active is controlling the position.

Active looking to sit in guard and control but Point gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Point stays in close to Active's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Point has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Point slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've been hearing good reports from Active's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Point has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Active is working away from the top position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Active has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
