Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Fanhoto (ranked 3739 p4p, 3673 weight class) and Khaba Furgusen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khaba Furgusen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Furgusen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fanhoto can't fight it off and eventually Furgusen manages to take the fight to the floor. Fanhoto looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Furgusen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fanhoto's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Furgusen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fanhoto swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Furgusen is in close to Fanhoto's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Fanhoto is looking to stand up but Furgusen isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Furgusen passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khaba Furgusen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Furgusen moves into the clinch.
Fanhoto lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
We've been informed that Furgusen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Furgusen has a couple of punches blocked by Fanhoto.

Furgusen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fanhoto is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Furgusen to the mat. Furgusen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Furgusen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Furgusen lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Fanhoto quite badly. Fanhoto pulls Furgusen in close trying to recover. Furgusen postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Fanhoto on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Fanhoto doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
