Kumajin moves away from the strike by Obama.
Kumajin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kumajin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Obama counters with a beautiful hook that drops Kumajin to the mat! Will Kumajin be able to recover his senses? The referee starts the count at 3 having sent Obama to a neutral corner. 4,5,6 and Kumajin is up. He looks OK to continue.
It looks like Akira Kumajin has been cut.
Kumajin throws an overhand right that lands on Obama's shoulder, as Obama tries to avoid the shot.

and Obama counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Kumajin out cold! What a finish! Obama is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tom Obama!
After the fight, Tom Obama was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
