Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Diaz (ranked 657 p4p, 1968 weight class) and Kahdi Mandinos (ranked 106 p4p, 283 weight class). Diego Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diego Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kahdi Mandinos!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.

Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard.

Mandinos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Diaz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Mandinos working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Diaz has passed into half guard!
Diaz is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Diaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Diaz is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Diaz wants to pass the guard but Mandinos is keeping the position.
Diaz stays in close to Mandinos's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Diaz throws a chopping leg kick but Mandinos manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Diaz passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Mandinos stops Diaz from passing to mount.
Mandinos gets back to half guard.
Diaz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Diaz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mandinos for as long as he can get away with.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Diaz dominated that round.
That's time! Diaz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Diaz misses with a left hand

and Mandinos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mandinos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mandinos has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.
Mandinos postures up.

Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mandinos works over Diaz with some ground and pound from guard.

Mandinos is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Diaz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mandinos is looking to defend but Diaz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mandinos! Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mandinos taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Diego Diaz!
An out of breath and clearly excited Diego Diaz thanked Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
