Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cristian Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simon Austin!

Austin throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Austin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Diaz wants to control but Austin passes into side.
Diaz is letting Austin control him for a moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Diaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Diaz tries to get out of the position.

Austin shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Austin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Diaz feints a jab promting Austin to slip. Diaz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Austin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Simon Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Diaz jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Austin has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Austin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Austin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Diaz is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Austin dives into side control.

Austin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
