Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Stallion (ranked 777 p4p, 914 weight class) and Edward Kenway (ranked 102 p4p, 116 weight class). Stallion's entrance music is Riding on the horses by Daryl Braithwaite . A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Harvey Stallion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 21 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Kenway!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stallion lands with an uppercut that bounces Kenway off the cage and back into range.
Kenway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stallion.
Kenway swings for the body but Stallion moves out of range.
Stallion feinted with a counter takedown.
Kenway looks to land a right hand but Stallion moved out of range.

and Kenway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kenway wants to break free but Stallion has control.
Kenway is trying to break the clinch but Stallion has him pressed against the cage.

Stallion has Kenway pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stallion pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kenway tumbling to the mat - Stallion dives into Kenway's guard.

Kenway wants to sweep but no luck.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stallion's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Stallion postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kenway is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stallion, into his guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stallion is looking for a triangle but Kenway pushes his legs off easily.
Kenway wanted to stand there but Stallion had control of the position.

Kenway trying to stand up but can't free himself from Stallion's guard.
Kenway is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Stallion is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Stallion looking for a guillotine here but Kenway defends easily.
Kenway wants to get up but he can't break Stallion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Stallion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Stallion had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kenway defends it easily.

Stallion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kenway is one step ahead there.
Kenway wants to get up but he can't break Stallion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kenway gets to his feet. Stallion looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Stallion fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kenway throws an off balance right hand
and Stallion counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stallion scores with a jab to the body.
Stallion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kenway avoids it really well and circles away.
Kenway throws the left hand but Stallion avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harvey Stallion will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kenway throws a body punch but Stallion moves out of range.
Stallion keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kenway.
Stallion lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Kenway tries to sprawl but Stallion drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Stallion missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Harvey Stallion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stallion throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Stallion wants to free his trapped foot but Kenway is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stallion is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stallion thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kenway's head.
Stallion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kenway regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Stallion.
Stallion wants to control from the top but Kenway keeps moving.
Kenway trying to keep a closed guard but Stallion is proving a slippery customer.

Kenway slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kenway stands and steps away. Stallion gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Stallion throws a right and a left that Kenway avoids nicely.
Kenway takes a swing at Stallion's ribcage but misses.

Kenway swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Stallion counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Stallion prevents Kenway from getting back to his feet.
Stallion loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stallion pushes down on Kenway's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Stallion looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kenway with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Kenway closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

A jab lands there for Stallion.

Kenway escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stallion lands a body shot.
Kenway takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kenway moves away from the strike by Stallion.
Stallion thows a left - swing and a miss!
A nice side step and Kenway releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Kenway keeps the fight on the outside.
Kenway throws a body punch but Stallion moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kenway. Stallion does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kenway throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stallion throws a lazy right hand but Kenway sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Stallion looking to score a takedown here. Kenway is defending well but Stallion drives through and ends up in Kenway's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stallion lands with an uppercut that bounces Kenway off the cage and back into range.

Stallion uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kenway has time to react.

Kenway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stallion moves away.
Stallion fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kenway manages to avoid it.
Kenway throws a looping overhand right but Stallion ducks down to avoid it.
Kenway takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stallion throws the left hand but Kenway avoids the punch easily.
It seemed like Kenway was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Stallion swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stallion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Stallion cracks a nice hook into Kenway's ribs.

Stallion moves into range and clinches up with Kenway.
Kenway lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Kenway wants to get back to striking at distance but Stallion won't allow it.

Kenway gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stallion.

Well Stallion has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
