Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hurricane Defoe (ranked 1906 p4p, 3001 weight class) and Gilberto Silva (ranked 257 p4p, 377 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Hurricane Defoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Defoe throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Defoe throws a solid leg kick but Silva takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Defoe.
It seemed like Silva was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Defoe is looking to chop away at Silva's legs.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Defoe.
Defoe throws a combination. Silva tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Defoe looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Defoe throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Defoe paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Defoe's head backwards.

Defoe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Defoe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Defoe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

Defoe scores with a nice head shot.
Defoe drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Silva right on the button. Silva goes down! Defoe follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Defoe gets the win via TKO!

After winning the bout, Hurricane Defoe thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
