PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tooh Kwoma (ranked 1641 p4p, 711 weight class) and Naoyuki Nakano (ranked 207 p4p, 92 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tooh Kwoma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Naoyuki Nakano!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.

We've been hearing reports that Kwoma has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kwoma fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nakano sprawls well initially but Kwoma persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakano seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Kwoma decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nakano's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tooh Kwoma will probably get the nod.
