Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Manson (ranked 2857 p4p, 2371 weight class) and Lonnie Donegan (ranked 286 p4p, 243 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donegan told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Manson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Donegan is just riding it out for now. Manson eventually gives up the hold.

Donegan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Manson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Manson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Manson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Manson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Manson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Manson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Donegan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Manson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Donegan is trying to escape and Manson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Donegan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Manson! Very nice indeed!
