And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Krylov!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

Krylov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Krylov lands in his opponent's guard.

Olsen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krylov defends well.

Olsen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Olsen pulls Krylov in close to prevent any damage.

Olsen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Olsen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Olsen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Krylov, who protects the arm well.
Krylov is looking to regain half guard here but Olsen keeps moving and retains side control.

Krylov is trying to control Olsen's posture but Olsen avoids it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johan Olsen will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Krylov dives in and scores a takedown into Olsen's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Krylov working his ground and pound in the gym.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krylov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Olsen controls Krylov momentarily but Krylov frees himself.
Olsen wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Krylov is now in half guard.

Olsen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Krylov slips a nice elbow through Olsen's hands, connecting with Olsen's forehead.
Olsen tries to roll over but Krylov keeps him under control.

Olsen is looking for a sweep. Krylov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Krylov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Olsen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Olsen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Krylov off and has taken his back!

Olsen is persistently looking for the submission but Krylov is defending it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
