Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacks Sole (ranked 645 p4p, 823 weight class) and Jamie James (ranked 101 p4p, 120 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacks Sole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie James!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.

Sole blocks a head kick by James.

and James cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Jacks Sole has been cut.
Sole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract James.
Sole lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand.
Sole chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sole keeps James at a distance using the push kick.
Sole darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sole attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Sole displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab.
Sole connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
James lands a nice looking body shot.

and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sole pivots, looking for a leg kick but James is out of range and Sole settles back down.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sole was well out of range. Poor timing from James.

and James counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Sole lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand.
Sole lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sole throws a shot from downtown. James moves away and avoids it.
As Sole backs off James throws a huge counter combo but Sole manages to avoid it all.
Sole thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on James if he has to take too many more of those.
James throws the kick towards the body but Sole avoids it.
Sole swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sole connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sole misses with a low kick.
Sole throws a body shot but no joy.
Jacks Sole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James tries to counter with a clinch but Sole shakes him off and moves away.
James dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sole. That did some damage!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jab, jab by Sole - just one landing.
Sole throws a chopping leg kick but James manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Sole closes the distance and pushes James back into the cage.
James has a couple of punches blocked by Sole.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, James just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sole's brow.
James lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Sole tries to pull guard but James holds him up against the cage and eventually Sole drops back down to his feet.
Sole throws a head punch that misses.
Sole lands a hook to the side of the head.
James fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
James lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sole or not.
James swings away with an uppercut that misses.
James lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
James is leaning against Sole and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. James obliges.
Sole is breathing heavily.
The referee is keeping an eye on James - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
James lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Sole tries to work over James's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
James misses with an elbow over the top.
James lands a shot to the body.
Sole jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Sole gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sole shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Donk. James catches Sole right on the button with a cross.
Sole checks the leg kick nicely there.
An attempted straight right counter from Sole misses the target.
Sole throws a lazy right hand but James sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from James.

Sole gets a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sole creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sole jumps guard.
James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Sole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sole escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James advances to half guard.
James content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Sole looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sole is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jamie James will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jacks Sole's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

James blocks a low kick nicely.
James swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jacks Sole has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sole.
Sole goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
James misses with a head kick.
James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Sole lands a straight punch to the body, keeping James at a distance.

Sole buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

James tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sole is able to avoid easily.

A little jabbing left from James on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

James lands a big right hand that sends Sole crashing to the mat! James stays standing though and waves Sole back to his feet!

James's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James throws a low kick but Sole moves out of range easily.
Oh Sole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

James tries to land a front kick but Sole steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
James throws a chopping leg kick but Sole manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

James throws out a counter right but Sole avoids it with no problem.

Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacks Sole will probably get the nod.

That's time! Sole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sole.
James has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from James there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sole lands a jab to James's midsection.
A jab from James finds it's way through Sole's defenses.
Sole misses with a low kick.
Good exchange - Sole coming out on top.

James fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sole has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! James crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sole - the referee stops the clock and James gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sole. James manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Sole looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James misses with an uppercut. Sole saw that one coming.

It looks like Sole has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sole wants to slow James down by chopping away at his legs.
James on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

James throws a leg kick which misses Sole's front leg but catches the back leg as Sole tries to avoid it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, James creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sole lands a hook that snaps the head of James backwards.
James lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sole backwards.

Sole throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! James escapes and throws Sole's legs to the side, diving into side control!

and James counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sole thinking.

Jamie James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
