Kozlow has chosen The Mountain - Jucifer as his entrance music. Krzysztof Kozlow has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Owen Alvarez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krzysztof Kozlow!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.

Kozlow tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Alvarez counters with a shoot takedown. Kozlow fights it but they end up in guard.

Kozlow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alvarez defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kozlow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alvarez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Alvarez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kozlow is looking for a triangle here but Alvarez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Alvarez is trying to control. Kozlow wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Alvarez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alvarez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kozlow with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kozlow felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alvarez connects with a nice short shot to Kozlow's temple.

Alvarez has managed to clinch.
Alvarez is trying to drag Kozlow to the mat but Kozlow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Alvarez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kozlow can do to turn this around?
Kozlow has a couple of punches blocked by Alvarez.
Alvarez has been working on his balance at Paris & Sons Training Yard, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kozlow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alvarez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozlow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alvarez has managed to get both his arms back between Kozlow's legs - danger averted.

Kozlow swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Kozlow drives through and clinches with Alvarez against the cage.
