And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Michael Collins!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Nansen takes the fight into the clinch.

Collins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nansen regains guard immediately.

Collins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Collins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nansen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've been hearing that Nansen has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Collins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nansen defends well.

Nansen is really struggling to control Collins but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Nansen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nansen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Collins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Collins has escaped and now he's on top!

Collins is pressing down on Nansen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nansen is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collins keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Nansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Collins on the ground.
Collins controlling the pace.
Collins is looking to take a break and control but Nansen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Collins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nansen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Collins is working away from the top position though.
Collins works his way into full mount!

Collins has hold of Nansen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nansen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nansen is trying to escape the mount.

Nansen is wriggling around trying to escape.

Collins working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Nansen turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Collins off and cradles Nansen's limp body as Collins celebrates with his corner.
