Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Finnigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Ashida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finnigan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Finnigan's wake. Ashida has chosen Keep Hope Alive as his entrance music. Tim Finnigan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Manny Ashida's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tim Finnigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manny Ashida!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finnigan scores with a jab to the jaw.
Finnigan forces Ashida back against the cage and clinches.
Ashida has picked Finnigan up - he's going for a ride! Ashida dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Ashida misses with a head shot. Finnigan uses the momentum to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ashida throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Finnigan looking for a sweep. Not yet Finnigan, not yet.
Ashida trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ashida lands a couple of elbows.
Finnigan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ashida thows a big elbow that misses.
Ashida in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Finnigan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ashida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ashida throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Finnigan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ashida.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Finnigan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ashida tries to free his leg and advance position but Finnigan is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ashida chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Finnigan can pounce on him.
Finnigan lands a jab to the head.
Finnigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ashida swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ashida looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Finnigan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ashida.
Ashida looks gassed!
Finnigan cracks the inside of Ashida's front leg.
Finnigan Rushes Ashida and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Ashida is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Finnigan Piles on the pressure and Ashida crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Finnigan!
