This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 7 losses; Sergei Ulatov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Kevin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.


Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Lee leaves Ulatov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ulatov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ulatov off to one side.

Lee closes the distance and pushes Ulatov back into the ropes.

Lee wants the takedown. Ulatov is fighting it off but Lee persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ulatov's guard against the ropes.

Ulatov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ulatov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lee stacks Ulatov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lee!

Lee slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
It looks like Lee might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

I really don't envy Ulatov right now.
