Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Hayes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beast.

Beast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hayes sprawls well initially but Beast persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hayes looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Beast working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hayes wants to control but Beast is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Beast looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hayes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beast's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Beast slips a nice elbow through Hayes's hands, connecting with Hayes's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hayes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beast got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beast has managed to get both his arms back between Hayes's legs - danger averted.

Hayes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beast defends well.

Beast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beast has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hayes's face.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Beast cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Beast loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hayes scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Beast land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Beast stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Za Beast!
In his post fight interview, Za Beast gave a big smile as he said 'Allesandro is a FAKE Diaz....he cant fight! '.
