Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Hirsch (ranked 3423 p4p, 965 weight class) and Mikhail Martynov (ranked 368 p4p, 111 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikhail Martynov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

Martynov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hirsch's hands.

Martynov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Martynov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

A looping hook to the body misses from Martynov. Hirsch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hirsch seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Martynov gets through Hirsch's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Hirsch takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Martynov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hirsch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martynov as he jumps to the side.

Martynov is pressed up against the cage. Hirsch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Martynov down to the mat. Martynov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Martynov gets caught napping as Hirsch dives in and scores a takedown. Martynov manages to retain guard.

Martynov kicks Hirsch off and gets to his feet.

Hirsch has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hirsch there as he acknowledges the shot.

Martynov is trying to stand back up but Hirsch is controlling him
Martynov is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Martynov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Hirsch has his opponent's back but Martynov is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Hirsch.

Martynov wants to get back to his feet but Hirsch is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Martynov has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hirsch is on him like a limpet, forcing Martynov back against the cage.

Hirsch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martynov tries to avoid it but Hirsch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martynov to the ground. Martynov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Martynov clobbers Hirsch with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Well Martynov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
