PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between High Voltage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voltage comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, High Voltage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Smith!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Smith works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Voltage tries a head kick but it misses.
Voltage lands a left and a right that sends Smith crashing to the canvas! Voltage dives into mount looking to finish!

It looks like James Smith has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Voltage looking to control but Smith is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Smith is desperately trying to improve his position but Voltage has a good base and remains in mount.
Voltage looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voltage trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Voltage is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Smith is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee stands the fighters back up. High Voltage just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Voltage works the jab nicely.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Voltage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Voltage cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Voltage has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up!

Smith is rocked!

Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Voltage finish him?
Voltage blocks an elbow strike from Smith.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Voltage avoiding damage as Smith throws knees to the body.

Voltage manages to break the clinch.
Some bone on bone action there as Voltage checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A jab from Voltage finds it's way through Smith's defenses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Voltage closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Smith out cold! Smith corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). High Voltage!
