The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
salmorin looks for a takedown but Alberto sprawls well.

salmorin closes the distance and clinches up with Alberto, looking for a takedown. salmorin pushes Alberto against the cage but Alberto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Despite being in the dominant position, Carlos Alberto just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Alberto fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Alberto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for salmorin. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

salmorin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alberto's guard.
