Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Average (ranked 24950 p4p, 6590 weight class) and Ahmet Hasan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Average could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ahmet Hasan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Average!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ahmet Hasan!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hasan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Average looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hasan slows the pace down in half guard.
Average keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hasan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hasan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hasan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hasan drives through and clinches with Average against the cage.

Hasan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hasan manages to end up in side control.

Hasan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Average has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hasan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hasan works to advance to full mount. Average defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Hasan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Hasan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hasan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Average gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Average preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Hasan stands up and waves to Average to follow him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ahmet Hasan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hasan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
As Hasan tries to get set, Average tries to push him back and clinch up but Hasan manages to avoid the attempt.
Hasan looks to land a body kick but Average moved away.
Average went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hasan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Average tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hasan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ahmet Hasan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hasan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hasan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Hasan wants to free his trapped foot but Average is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, if Hasan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hasan in particular looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hasan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Average was covering up waiting for the punch and Hasan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hasan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hasan decides to stand back up.
Joe Average is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Average tries to sprawl but Hasan drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Ahmet Hasan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hasan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hasan gets to his feet. Average looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Average could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hasan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Average regains guard immediately.

Hasan passes Average's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hasan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Average tries to roll over but Hasan keeps him under control.

Hasan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Average looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hasan is on top in guard.

Well Hasan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Ahmet Hasan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Joe Average stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll just have to work hard and win next time.'.
