The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander keeps the fight on the outside.
Alexander is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hirvonen.
Hirvonen misses with a hook.
Alexander slips under a jab.
Alexander scores with a head kick.

It looks like Pentti Hirvonen has been cut.

Alexander rushes Hirvonen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Alexander misses with some punches.
Hirvonen blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hirvonen wants to stall.
Hirvonen is working for takedown but Alexander is calmly controlling the position for now.
Alexander stops a takedown attempt from Hirvonen.
Alexander misses with a hook from the clinch.

Hirvonen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Alexander clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Alexander wants to get back to his feet.
Hirvonen is looking to control Alexander but Alexander is wriggling around and keeping busy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hirvonen is looking for the choke from the back position but Alexander is controlling his hands well.
Alexander is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Hirvonen off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Alexander has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Hirvonen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Alexander has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
