The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougall looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pearse is fending him off so far but McDougall persists. Nope, Pearse circles away and we're back to standing.
Pearse throws a head kick that misses.
McDougall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pearse throws a sloppy head kick and McDougall moves out of range easily.
Adamh Pearse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch lands to the side of Pearse 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Adamh Pearse has been cut.
Pearse scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pearse lands a high kick!

It looks like Angus McDougall has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McDougall has a takedown stuffed.
Pearse tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McDougall connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pearse's hands.
McDougall walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pearse.
McDougall looks gassed!
Pearse swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and McDougall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Pearse kicks McDougall off and gets back to his feet.
Pearse throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as McDougall stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Pearse follows into mount!

McDougall is rocked!
Pearse takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McDougall is still in real trouble! Can Pearse finish him?
Pearse's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
McDougall seems to have recovered his senses.

Pearse avoids the attempt from McDougall to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McDougall regains half guard.
McDougall wants to control the action here but instead Pearse manages to pass to full mount!
McDougall is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
McDougall tries to hold on but Pearse postures up.
Pearse controlling the position easily from mount.

McDougall is trying desperately to improve position.
McDougall wants to hold on but Pearse pushes him away.
McDougall is looking to get to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pearse takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McDougall really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McDougall tries to hold on but Pearse postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adamh Pearse dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pearse scores with a push kick.
McDougall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pearse looks to land a combination. McDougall sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Adamh Pearse is winning the standup battle so far.
Pearse misses with a few strikes there.
Pearse throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McDougall's head.

That has opened up Angus McDougall's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pearse circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! McDougall drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pearse follows McDougall to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
