Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Earthquake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kato is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: STILL BALLIN. Jake Earthquake has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Earthquake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sun Kato!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earthquake misses with a two punch combination.
Kato throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Earthquake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kato misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kato pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sun Kato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Earthquake takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Earthquake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kato, pushing him back against the cage.
Kato prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kato breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kato.

Earthquake has managed to clinch.
Earthquake is trying to break free.
Kato misses with a knee to the head.
Earthquake has Kato pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kato manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kato is trying to trip Earthquake. He has hold of a leg but Earthquake is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kato persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kato tries to stand but Earthquake is controlling from the bottom.
Earthquake will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Earthquake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kato is pushing down on Earthquake's leg trying to pass to half guard. Earthquake is fighting to maintain full guard but Kato has managed to sneak the leg through.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kato perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Kato gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Earthquake shoots for a takedown but Kato saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kato throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Earthquake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kato tries to avoid it but Earthquake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kato to the ground. Kato escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Earthquake will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
