The crowd seem to be enjoying Van der Laan's choice of entrance music: Eazy-E ft. Tupac, The Game - How We Do. Andre Van der Laan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van der Laan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Van der Laan is looking to slow Pochettino down with leg kicks.
Pochettino lands with an uppercut that bounces Van der Laan off the cage and back into rage.
Van der Laan doesn't manage to clinch there - Pochettino circles away.

Pochettino shoots in and bounces Van der Laan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pochettino is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pochettino wants to control from the top but Van der Laan keeps moving.
Pochettino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Van der Laan is looking to stand up but Pochettino isn't so interested in that idea.

Van der Laan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Andre Van der Laan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pochettino connects with a good right hand that stumbles Van der Laan. Van der Laan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Van der Laan throws a head kick that Pochettino semi-blocks.

It looks like Matt Pochettino has been cut.
Van der Laan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pochettino.

Pochettino is trying to trip Van der Laan. He has hold of a leg but Van der Laan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pochettino persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Van der Laan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pochettino postures up in Van der Laan's guard and throws a big left but Van der Laan blocks it.

Pochettino trying to control the position from guard on top but Van der Laan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Van der Laan wants to stand up but Pochettino is controlling him.

Pochettino is trying to get an arm triangle but Van der Laan is defending well.
Pochettino is breathing heavily.

Pochettino tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pochettino has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pochettino has an Americana. Van der Laan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pochettino is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pochettino hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
