Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hakuin Ekaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blokada Leningrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leningrada comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Farewell of Slavyanka kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hakuin Ekaku!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blokada Leningrada!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leningrada tries to clinch but Ekaku is having none of it.
Leningrada moves in looking to clinch but Ekaku pushes him off.

Leningrada looks to score with a jab to the body but Ekaku is just out of range.
Ekaku defending well as Leningrada loads up on a big left hand.

Leningrada fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ekaku manages to avoid it.
Ekaku will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ekaku throws a series of punches but Leningrada moves out of range.
Ekaku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Leningrada. That did some damage!

A slow jab from Leningrada misses its intended target.
Leningrada is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ekaku paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ekaku circles away from the clinch attempt.

Leningrada throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ekaku sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Ekaku decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leningrada's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ekaku accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ekaku looking to sit in guard and control but Leningrada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Leningrada is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Ekaku has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ekaku has clasped his hands together around Leningrada's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Leningrada can't do much from the bottom here.
Ekaku postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Leningrada tries to control but Ekaku manages to take his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ekaku is looking to control Leningrada but Leningrada is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Ekaku slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Ekaku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Ekaku is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ekaku gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ekaku gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ekaku apologises and we restart here on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hakuin Ekaku will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters circle momentarily. Ekaku darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Leningrada throws an overhand right that lands on Ekaku's shoulder, as Ekaku tries to avoid the shot.
Ekaku fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ekaku shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leningrada's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ekaku uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Leningrada has time to react.

Leningrada's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Leningrada throws a jab when Ekaku was well out of range.
Leningrada tries to clinch but Ekaku moves away
and Ekaku counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Ekaku counters with a three punch combo that has Leningrada backing up. Leningrada nods at Ekaku to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ekaku moves out of range as Leningrada strikes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
