PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Stack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaakko Teppo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stack might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Deer Dance. Jaakko Teppo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Stack!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaakko Teppo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teppo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stack bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Stack tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teppo swivels and escapes.
Stack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stack keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Teppo avoids the body shot from Stack.

Teppo throws a right hand that Stack ducks under and follows up with a left that Stack also avoids with ease.

Stack changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Teppo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Stack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
