Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen blocks a head kick by Rivera.
It seemed like Allen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Allen throws a hook to the side of Rivera's head but Rivera sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Allen avoids the head kick by Rivera.
A little jabbing left from Allen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Rivera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rivera lands in his opponent's guard.
Rivera trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rivera passes into half guard.
Rivera is trying to control. Allen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Rivera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Allen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Allen tries to roll over but Rivera keeps him under control.

Rivera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Allen sees it coming and defends easily.
Rivera not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rivera is trying to control the action in half guard but Allen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rivera is really struggling to control Allen but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Rivera tries to pass to full mount but Allen defends it.
Rivera wants to stand up but Allen has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rivera misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rivera looks to land a body kick but Allen moved away.
Rivera throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Allen counters with a nice right hand that sends Rivera toppling to the canvas! Rivera scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Allen finish him?!
Rivera is breathing heavily.
Rivera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Allen.

Jimmy Allen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rivera avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rivera is looking to counter the offense by Allen and move into the clinch.

and Allen scores with a counter punch that sends Rivera to the canvas! Allen smells blood - he's punishing Rivera with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Rivera has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
