PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Larzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdemar Friman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larzon comes to the ring accompanied by Detox by Millencolin. Friman has chosen Metallica - Damage Inc. as his entrance music. Valdemar Friman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friman has taken the fight to the clinch.
Larzon has a couple of punches blocked by Friman.
Friman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Mathias Larzon has been cut.
Larzon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Larzon.
Larzon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Friman landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Larzon wants to break free but Friman has control.
Larzon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Friman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Come on Larzon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Larzon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Friman connects with a high kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Friman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Larzon on the side of the head.

Larzon is rocked!

Mathias Larzon's cut is getting worse.
Larzon wants to clinch

and Friman moves into the clinch.
Friman landing knees to the body.
Friman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Larzon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Friman pushes Larzon away with a front kick.
Larzon is breathing heavily.
Larzon throws a leg kick
and Friman counters with a monster head kick that knocks Larzon out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
