The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arapeta sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ballo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Arapeta.
Arapeta throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Arapeta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ballo.
Arapeta throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Arapeta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ballo on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown by Ballo or perhaps it was just good defense by Arapeta which made him look bad.
Arapeta throws a combination. Ballo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Dolla Ballo has been cut.
Ballo is breathing heavily.

Arapeta swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ballo.
Arapeta cracks Ballo with a good jab.

Arapeta bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Ballo! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Arapeta is stalling in the full guard.
Let's hope that Arapeta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Ballo looking for subs off his back but Arapeta has passed one foot through into half guard.

Arapeta is looking to advance position but Ballo won't allow it.
Ballo wants to control but Arapeta passes into side.

Ballo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Arapeta wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ballo fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dolla Ballo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Arapeta lands with a nice combination. Ballo backs away looking to recover.
Xander Arapeta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Arapeta does it's job there.

Arapeta thuds his shin into the meat of Ballo's side.

Ballo shoots in for a takedown but Arapeta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Arapeta connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ballo. Ballo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An inside leg kick lands from Arapeta.
Arapeta cracks Ballo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Arapeta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A slapping leg kick lands for Arapeta.
Arapeta moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ballo walks into a stiff left hand from Arapeta.
Dolla Ballo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arapeta throws a left that rocks Ballo and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Arapeta dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ballo regain composure!
Arapeta in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Arapeta stands up.
Ballo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Arapeta misses with a few strikes there.
Arapeta scores with a nice right hand.
Ballo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arapeta lands a jab-cross combination.
Ballo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Arapeta lands a head shot.
Arapeta has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ballo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ballo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Arapeta lands a high kick to the side of Ballo's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Arapeta dives into guard, looking to finish.
Ballo is rocked!

Ballo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Arapeta has picked Ballo up and slammed him! Ballo can't keep hold of the triangle and Arapeta manages to pass to side control!
A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ballo wants to control but Arapeta postures up.

Xander Arapeta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

A slapping body kick lands there for Arapeta.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Arapeta connects with a superb combination that knocks Ballo out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Arapeta before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Ballo!
