Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keni Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Susi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Hero of the Day. Jackson has chosen Franklin's Theme Song as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Susi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Susi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Susi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Susi.
Susi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Susi dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Susi's head and hops out.

Susi is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

Susi drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Susi off! Susi jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Susi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Susi jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jackson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jackson and Susi has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
