Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Argentum Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Argentum Jr has chosen Money In Da Bank by Lil Scrapy as his entrance music. Magnus Argentum Jr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chase fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chase takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A nice leg kick lands there from Argentum Jr.
Chase shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Chase. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chase shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Argentum Jr pinned against the cage. Argentum Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Argentum Jr lands a lovely overhand right.
Chase has a takedown stuffed.
Chase fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chase is breathing heavily.
Chase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Argentum Jr as he avoids it easily.
A head kick from Argentum Jr lands but Chase takes it in his stride.

Argentum Jr clinches up with Chase and pushes him back against the cage.
Chase has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Argentum Jr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Argentum Jr has Chase pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chase manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Argentum Jr wants to stall.
Argentum Jr scores with a shoulder strike.
Argentum Jr wants to break the clinch but can't.

Argentum Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chase takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Argentum Jr throws a head kick that half lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Argentum Jr lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A chopping leg kick lands by Argentum Jr.

Argentum Jr throws a leg kick which misses Chase's front leg but catches the back leg as Chase tries to avoid it.

Argentum Jr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chase looking for a sweep. Not yet Chase, not yet.

Chase has his foot on Argentum Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Argentum Jr works his way back into a safe position though.
Argentum Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Chase is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chase throws his legs up looking for a submission but Argentum Jr uses it to pass to side control.
Chase tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Argentum Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chase keeps working.
Chase managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Argentum Jr.
Argentum Jr trying to control the action but Chase is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Argentum Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chase moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Argentum Jr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chase swivels and escapes.

Chase closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Argentum Jr gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Argentum Jr tries to lock up and control but Chase gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chase wants to take his opponent's back but Argentum Jr doesn't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chase is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Argentum Jr is forced to tap! Great finish!
