And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, T Rex!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex looks to score with a jab to the body but Dille is just out of range.
Dille misses with a double jab.
Dille tries to bum rush Rex with a series of wild strikes but Rex uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dille throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rex.
Dille lands the left hand.
Dille lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dille.
Rex misses the shot to the body.
Rex throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dille lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like T Rex has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rex is looking to clinch.
Dille avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rex swings for the body but Dille moves out of range.

Dille throws a right and a left that Rex avoids nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Dille darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dille lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rex looks to land a left hand but Dille moved out of range nicely.
Danga de danga de dang - Dille scores with a four punch combination!
Rex tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dille sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rex somewhat.

Dille throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rex.

Dille lands with an uppercut that bounces Rex off the cage and back into rage.
Dille drops Rex with a left right combo! Dille follows him down to the ground into side control.

Dille is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rex knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dille goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rex has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dille but great work by Rex.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dille avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rex.

Rex is trying to get an arm triangle but Dille is defending well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dille is trying to control Rex's posture but Rex avoids it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dille lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dille bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rex needs to keep his hands up - Dille had a free shot at his head there.

Rex avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rex drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dille is trying to control Rex's posture but Rex avoids it.
Rex works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Rex creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Rex is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dille knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rex is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dille is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dille is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rex can do to turn this around?

Rex is looking to take a break and control but Dille is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rex gets to mount! Dille was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Dille takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Rex goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dille turns into him and now he's in Rex's guard.
Rex has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rex looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dille will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dille drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dille jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dille drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rex manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dille has Rex in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rex has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Dille swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rex misses with a leg kick.
Rex fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

James Dille is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
