Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Blau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov comes to the ring accompanied by The Trooper by Iron Maiden. On his way into the ring it seems that Vincent Volkov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vincent Volkov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blau uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Volkov.
Blau keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Volkov throws an overhand right that lands on Blau's shoulder, as Blau tries to avoid the shot.
Volkov throws the kick towards the body but Blau avoids it.
Volkov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blau dodges the punch combination from Volkov.
Nice uppercut lands for Volkov. That snapped Blau's head back.

It looks like Winston Blau has been cut.
Blau lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Blau moves out of range of the strikes.
Volkov throws a shot from downtown. Blau moves away and avoids it.
Blau throws a head kick but Volkov moves out of range.
Blau steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Volkov.

Volkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blau moves away.

so Blau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Volkov is breathing heavily.

Blau drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Volkov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Blau has Volkov in his guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Blau manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Volkov manages to get himself to full guard.

Volkov is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Blau escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blau tries to score a power double leg takedown but Volkov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blau somewhat.
Vincent Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blau looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Volkov is fending him off so far but Blau persists. Nope, Volkov circles away and we're back to standing.
Vincent Volkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winston Blau.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Volkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Blau throws a nice outside leg kick.
Volkov misses with a leg kick

so Blau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Blau wants to control from the top but Volkov keeps moving.
Blau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Blau throws and elbow that misses. Volkov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blau's guard. Nice move by Volkov!

Volkov gets to his feet - Blau follows without any prompting.
Volkov throws a hook but Blau avoids it easily.
Volkov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blau sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Blau tries to land a front kick but Volkov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blau.
Blau shoots in and drives through. Volkov sprawls well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Volkov pinned against the cage. Volkov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Volkov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Volkov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Volkov misses with a low kick.
Volkov fails to land with a series of punches.
Blau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Volkov as he avoids it easily.
Volkov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Blau counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blau seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Blau is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Volkov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Volkov has escaped and now he's on top!
Volkov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blau is proving hard to escape from.

Volkov wants to pass the guard but Blau is keeping the position.
Volkov is looking to stand up but Blau won't let him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Volkov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blau has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Volkov has managed to get both his arms back between Blau's legs - danger averted.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Blau doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Volkov throws a combination. Blau tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Blau is rocked!
Volkov lands with a big right hook that stumbles Blau - he's out on his feet here! Volkov follows up with another monster hook that separates Blau from consciousness! Blau falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Volkov stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
