The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peter gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Martinez.
Martinez connects with a single shot there.
Peter scores with the left hand. Martinez knows he should have avoided that one.
Some wild striking there from Martinez.
Martinez moves into the clinch successfully.
Martinez breaks the clinch.
Peter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Martinez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Martinez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peter blocks a jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martinez cracks Peter with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Peter tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Martinez pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Peter is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Martinez!
