Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Masahiko Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Kordic!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura throws a right and a left that Kordic avoids nicely.
Kordic blocks a head kick by Kimura.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kimura is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kordic defends it well.
Kordic tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Kimura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kordic keeps working.
Kimura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kimura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimura seems to be looking for submissions.
Kordic is looking to improve his position.
Kimura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kordic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kimura.

Kimura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kimura is breathing heavily.
Kordic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kimura is working away from the top position though.
Kimura prevents Kordic from improving his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimura is working for a guillotine from mount but Kordic frees his head quite easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kordic is trying to maintain the position but Kimura is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kordic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kimura kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kimura is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kordic defends it well.
Kimura is trying to control the action in half guard but Kordic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kimura throws a jab but it's blocked by Kordic.

Kimura manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Kimura tries to get to full guard but Kordic has control of the leg.
Kordic wants to control but Kimura is keeping him busy.
Kordic throwing shots but Kimura is blocking nicely.

Kimura is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kordic is looking to control Kimura's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kordic avoid being mounted?
Kimura is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kordic is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kimura goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kordic is on top in guard.

Kordic passes into half guard.
Kimura is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kordic jumps into side control!

You can see the frustration on Kimura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kimura tries to bench press Kordic off him but Kordic keeps the position.
Kimura is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kordic's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Kimura looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kimura is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kordic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kimura takes the fight into the clinch.
Kimura with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Kimura is pressed up against the cage. Kordic has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kimura down to the mat. Kimura avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kordic throws a series of punches but Kimura moves out of range.
Kimura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kimura passes to full mount!
Kimura is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kordic can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kordic tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kimura throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kordic has his hands clasped together but Kimura breaks the hold and Kordic is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Kimura!
