PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lock Jaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hjalmar Klason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klason is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: (Hed) Pe - Raise Hell. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klason throws a low kick but Jaw avoids it.
Jaw scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A jab-cross combination lands for Klason and sends Jaw crashing to the mat! Klason follows him down to the mat - Jaw regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Jaw is rocked!

It looks like Lock Jaw has been cut.
Jaw missing with punches from the bottom.
Jaw is looking to improve his position.
Jaw controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Ground and pound from Klason.
Jaw pushes Klason off looking to stand but Klason dives back in and keeps control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Klason lands a nice short elbow.

Klason decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jaw rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Klason moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Klason misses with a two punch combination.
Klason fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jaw lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Klason changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jaw tries to avoid it but Klason manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jaw to the ground. Jaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jaw throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A big right from Klason misses.
Klason misses with an uppercut.
Jaw scores with a head kick.
Klason blocks the body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Klason wants to break the clinch but can't.

Jaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jaw drives through and clinches with Klason against the cage.
Jaw landing knees to the body.
Klason is working for takedown but Jaw is calmly controlling the position for now.

Klason stops a takedown attempt from Jaw.
Jaw stalls.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Jaw for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Jaw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jaw forces Klason back against the cage and clinches.

Klason shoots in but no luck this time.
Lock Jaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hjalmar Klason.
Jaw goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Jaw counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jaw.

Jaw just leaning against Klason, taking a breather.
Jaw prevents Klason from breaking the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Jaw breaks from the clinch.
Jaw throws a series of punches but Klason avoids them all with ease.
Klason tries to clinch up
and Jaw counters with a left and a right that stings Klason.
Jaw is looking to clinch.
Jaw throws a combination that misses

and Klason holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Klason is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jaw manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Jaw wants a takedown.

Klason is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jaw is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Klason to the mat. Klason regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Klason is on top in guard.
Jaw tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Klason has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Klason stands and throws Jaw's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Klason decides to stand back up. Klason steps back and let's Jaw get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaw lands with an uppercut that bounces Klason off the cage and back into rage.
Klason has his takedown stuffed
and Jaw counters with a good low kick that Klason was not able to check.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaw throws a series of punches but Klason avoids them all with ease.

Jaw drops down looking for an ankle pick but Klason pulls his leg out and moves away.
Klason loads up on a big right hand but Jaw slips the punch.
Klason is looking to clinch.
Klason fails with the takedown.
Klason shoots in for a takedown but Jaw shows good takedown defense.
A lazy left from Klason finds it's target.
Klason shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jaw as he jumps to the side.
Lock Jaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hjalmar Klason.
Jaw looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Klason lands a hook that stumbles Jaw back into the cage. Klason follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Jaw to the canvas! Klason pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Jaw has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
