The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from McHammer misses.
Hainault fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for McHammer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hainault moves out of range as McHammer strikes.
Hainault tries to clinch but McHammer is having none of it.
McHammer blocks a head kick by Hainault.
Hainault tries to close the distance and clinch but McHammer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McHammer misses with a wild body shot.
McHammer throws a hook but Hainault avoids it easily.
Hainault showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McHammer.
McHammer throws a low kick but Hainault avoids it.

It looks like Alain Hainault has been cut.
Hainault tries to close the distance and clinch up but McHammer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McHammer throws a head kick that misses
and Hainault counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Hainault moves into the clinch.
Hainault tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hainault lands a hook that snaps the head of McHammer backwards.
Hainault keeps control of McHammer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
McHammer has had enough of the clinch but Hainault keeps him there for the moment.
A frustrated look appears on McHammer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hainault tries for a takedown. No joy.
McHammer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McHammer prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alain Hainault. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hainault pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jack McHammer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hainault shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McHammer as he avoids it easily.
Hainault tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McHammer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hainault is looking to slow McHammer down with leg kicks.

McHammer cracks Hainault with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McHammer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hainault to stand back up!
Hainault is breathing heavily.
Hainault closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hainault is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crack! McHammer connects with the perfect overhand right and Hainault falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for McHammer!
