PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyquan Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden moves away from the strike by Sinatra.

Durden gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sinatra drops back looking for a leg! Durden is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Durden manages to kick Sinatra off! Sinatra jumps back into Durden's guard.
Durden keeping full guard, as Sinatra tries to pass.
Sinatra controlling from the top position.
Sinatra's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Durden looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinatra is one step ahead there.
Durden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sinatra on the ground.

Sinatra trying to control but Durden is working from the bottom.
Durden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sinatra manages to get himself to full guard.

Durden got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sinatra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Durden has managed to get both his arms back between Sinatra's legs - danger averted.
Sinatra is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sinatra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sinatra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Durden is aware though and is defending well.

Durden wants to control from the top but Sinatra keeps moving.

Sinatra not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sinatra tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sinatra is looking to sinch up a triangle. Durden throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sinatra's body to avoid the submission. Sinatra has instead reached around Durden's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sinatra arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
