Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jax Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frito Lei looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith rushes Lei and presses him up against the cage.
Lei looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Lei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frito Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lei showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.

Lei tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Lei sprawling to the canvas. Smith follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Lei hang on?

Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Smith takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Smith has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Smith slips a nice elbow through Lei's hands, connecting with Lei's forehead.

Lei is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lei tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lei to the ground. Lei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Lei buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Lei gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
