Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bogie McGill!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGill wants to clinch up but Paul keeps it at a distance.
McGill doesn't manage to clinch there - Paul circles away.
Paul misses with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGill.
Paul swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paul wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
McGill misses with a takedown attempt - Paul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Paul blocks a head kick by McGill.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGill throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paul sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Paul's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Paul duly obliges.

Paul lands a left and a right that send McGill crashing to the mat, dazed. Paul thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


McGill is rocked!
Paul looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McGill takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGill wants to clinch up but Paul keeps it at a distance.

Paul drops McGill with a beautiful combination! McGill stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Paul is looking for the KO!
McGill is still on wobbly legs! Can Paul finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paul moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McGill throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Paul makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McGill seems to have recovered his senses.
McGill looks gassed!
Paul works McGill's body with a nice hook.
Paul throws a right and a left that McGill avoids nicely.
Paul lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Paul swinging wilding here.
McGill fails with the takedown
and Paul counters with a left to the body.
John Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogie McGill.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Paul lands a with a good body shot.
McGill tries to move into range but Paul moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Paul feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGill sprawling to the canvas! McGill rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Paul finish him?!
Paul drops McGill with a naaaaasty hook - McGill is in real trouble here! Paul dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Paul!
