PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Stevenson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.

Jones pushes Stevenson up against the cage in a clinch.

Jones decides to pull guard.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones drops an elbow to the side of Stevenson's head.
Jones passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Stevenson is in trouble!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Stevenson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Stevenson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jones anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Stevenson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jones slips an arm under Stevenson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jones has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jones is squeezing on Stevenson like an anaconda would it's prey. Stevenson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cru Jones!
