The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lepinakov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lepinakov tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard.
Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Lepinakov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lepinakov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lepinakov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Anderson's head.
Lepinakov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lepinakov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but Lepinakov is having none of it.
Lepinakov throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lepinakov advances position into side control!
Anderson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lepinakov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lepinakov is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well.
Anderson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Lepinakov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Anderson is trying to escape and Lepinakov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Anderson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lepinakov! Very nice indeed!
