Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bratts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanishk Soni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanishk Soni told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Soni. No joy for Bratts on that attempt.

Soni has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Bratts throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Soni blocks it with crossed arms.
Bratts tries a knee to the head but Soni blocks it.
Bratts fails to pull guard.
Bratts jumps guard but Soni stands there with Bratts around his waist. Bratts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Soni is trying to trip Bratts. He has hold of a leg but Bratts is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Soni persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bratts is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Soni is controlling him.

Soni drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soni jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bratts is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Soni's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bratts has a hand on Soni's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Soni takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Soni takes Bratts's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.

That's time! Bratts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Soni blocks a head kick by Bratts.
Soni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Soni circles away from the clinch attempt.
Soni scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bratts doesn't seem bothered though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Soni, as that shot connected.

Soni lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Soni.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Soni looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bratts motions for Soni to come forward. Bratts throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Soni tries to land a front kick but Bratts steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bratts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Soni slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bratts is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bratts wants to control from the top but Soni keeps moving.

Bratts tries to free his leg and advance position but Soni is retaining full guard.

Tanishk Soni showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

I would just about give that final round to Tanishk Soni.
Well Soni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
