Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Urpo Nyrkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nyrkki drops Maia with a beautiful combination! Maia stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nyrkki is looking for the KO!

It looks like Lyoto Maia has been cut.
Maia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nyrkki's waist but Nyrkki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maia off to one side.
Maia staying out of range there.
Nyrkki scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maia doesn't seem bothered though.
Nyrkki looks to score with a jab to the body but Maia is just out of range.
Maia tries to clinch up.
Nyrkki darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Urpo Nyrkki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nyrkki lands a big right hand that sends Maia crashing to the mat! Nyrkki stays standing though and waves Maia back to his feet!

Nyrkki lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maia at a distance.
Maia is still on wobbly legs! Can Nyrkki finish him?
Nyrkki drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Maia right on the button. Maia goes down! Nyrkki follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Nyrkki gets the win via TKO!
