Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gouveia scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gouveia takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gouveia working T A over with strikes.
Gouveia seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
T A trying to hold on to Gouveia's head to control him but Gouveia postures up.
Gouveia winds up and cracks T A with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gouveia slows the pace down in half guard.

T A actively working from the bottom here.
T A is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gouveia scores with a couple of nice shots.

Gouveia tries to pass to full mount but T A defends it.
T A wants to improve his position but Gouveia is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
T A throws a nice looking combination but Gouveia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
T A looks gassed!
Gouveia is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Gouveia bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gouveia stands up and beckons T A to his feet.

Gouveia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in T A's guard.

T A working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gouveia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gouveia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
T A looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

T A is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Gouveia frees his head nicely. Oh but T A has switched to an armbar! Gouveia is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
