Deschain has chosen Giving In-- As made famous by Adema as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roland Deschain!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain thows a body shot but no joy.
Tatum tries a head kick but it misses.
Tatum takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Drederick Tatum has been cut.
Tatum uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deschain.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Deschain!
Tatum throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tatum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Deschain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Deschain is keen to just control but Tatum is a slippery customer.
Tatum is looking to improve his position.

Deschain is looking for submissions but instead, Tatum has regained full guard.

Deschain is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tatum is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tatum has escaped and now he's on top!

Tatum wants to get up but he can't break Deschain's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Deschain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tatum is one step ahead there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Deschain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tatum got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deschain has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tatum has managed to get both his arms back between Deschain's legs - danger averted.
Deschain throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Tatum has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Deschain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tatum manages to get himself to full guard.

Deschain slips nicely into half guard.
Deschain is looking to take a break and control but Tatum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Deschain in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tatum tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Deschain!
