Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Karlsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karlsen comes into the arena with Home by BZ's blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Karlsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam West!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsen avoids a punch combination nicely.
West looks to land a right hand but Karlsen moved out of range.
West lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karlsen circles away quickly and effectively.
West throws a body punch but Karlsen moves out of range.
Karlsen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Karlsen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by West.
West looks to land a left hand but Karlsen moved out of range nicely.
West throws a nice inside leg kick.
West lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karlsen circles away quickly and effectively.
West slips a jab and a cross from Karlsen.
Karlsen fails with a takedown attempt.
A jab from West does it's job there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karlsen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Karlsen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from West, right into the meat.
West cracks Karlsen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

West clinches up against the cage.
Karlsen tries to pull guard but West won't allow it.
A short right hand to the side of the head by West.
Karlsen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but West pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Karlsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West digs a right hand into Karlsen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Karlsen's gas tank.
West content to slow the pace in the clinch.
West continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Karlsen tries to break the clinch but West is controlling the position.

Karlsen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. West gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Karlsen wants a takedown but no success here.

West breaks the clinch.
Karlsen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from West finds it's way round the side to connect with Karlsen's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karlsen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
West throws a shot to the body.
Karlsen is breathing heavily.
West cracks a nice hook into Karlsen's ribs.

It looks like Kim Karlsen has been cut.
Karlsen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
West ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
West lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by West.
Karlsen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

West clinches with his opponent.
Karlsen is trying to break the clinch but West is controlling him.
Karlsen goes for a takedown in the clinch but West prevents it.
West lands on the inside with an uppercut.
West lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Karlsen backwards.
A nice left hand lands by West.
West throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
West has Karlsen pressed against the cage.
Karlsen goes for a takedown in the clinch but West prevents it.
West digs a right hand into Karlsen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Karlsen's gas tank.

West kicks off Karlsen and gets to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
West swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Karlsen counters with a single leg into guard. West didn't expect that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

West scrambles and gets back to his feet.
West lands a jab to Karlsen's midsection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam West dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kim Karlsen's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A combination from Karlsen does no damage.
West scores with a hook to the body. Karlsen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
West stuffs the takedown.
West lands a head kick!
Karlsen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
West lands a nice shot that snaps Karlsen's head back.
Karlsen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Karlsen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Karlsen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and West counters with a nice low kick that buckles Karlsen's knee momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Karlsen falls off balance throwing a combination
letting West counter with a right hand.

West moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
West scores with a jab to the head.
West fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Karlsen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fighters circle momentarily. West darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Karlsen throws an overhand right that lands on West's shoulder, as West tries to avoid the shot.
Adam West seems to be getting the better of the standup.
West lands a nice looking body shot.
West has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by West.
A solid leg kick lands there for West.
West lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

West forces Karlsen back against the cage and clinches.
West scores with a shoulder strike.

West lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Karlsen backwards.
West scores with an uppercut up the middle.

West pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Karlsen moves forwards but West connects with a nice, crisp jab.
West lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

West throws a combination. Karlsen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

and West counters with a good low kick that Karlsen was not able to check.

West lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
West lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
West cracks Karlsen with a right hand to the side of the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

West throws a good cross that connects.
Karlsen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Karlsen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

West moves into range and clinches up with Karlsen.

West breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Karlsen throws a jab when West was well out of range.
West misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Karlsen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Karlsen throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Karlsen looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
West throws a leg kick which misses Karlsen's front leg but catches the back leg as Karlsen tries to avoid it.

West lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Karlsen or not.

West manages to break the clinch.

West keeps control of the position for the meantime.

West makes his way to full guard. A much better position for West.
West lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Karlsen!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karlsen is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Karlsen.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

West prevents Karlsen from improving his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Karlsen blocks a head kick by West.
Adam West is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and West counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Adam West comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got West winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
