The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of New York Bad Ass 's head but he takes it in his stride.
New York Bad Ass throws a right and a left that both miss.
Morgan takes one to the side of the head.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
New York Bad Ass looking for a sweep. Not yet New York Bad Ass, not yet.

Morgan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Morgan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
New York Bad Ass trying to keep a closed guard but Morgan is proving a slippery customer.

Morgan stands and steps away. New York Bad Ass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
New York Bad Ass throws a head kick but Morgan moves out of range.

Morgan looks to score with a jab to the body but New York Bad Ass is just out of range.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says New York Bad Ass as he avoids it easily.
New York Bad Ass tries to clinch up but Morgan circles away and keeps his distance.
Morgan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

New York Bad Ass drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Morgan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Morgan is trying to drag New York Bad Ass to the mat but New York Bad Ass just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
New York Bad Ass is trying to break the clinch but Morgan is controlling him.
Morgan lands a nice knee to the body.

New York Bad Ass wants to pass the guard but Morgan is keeping the position.

Morgan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. New York Bad Ass manages to get himself to full guard.
New York Bad Ass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
New York Bad Ass is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

New York Bad Ass had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morgan defends it easily.
