PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and georges Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gsp´s Entrance. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Rush throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Rush finishes the takedown easily into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gracie keeping moving, preventing Rush from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rush landing some decent shots from guard.
Rush wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Rush might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Rush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rush missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A shot to de liver by Gracie. Beautiful body shot.
Gracie fails to land with a series of punches.
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rush fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away.
Rush takes one on the button.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gracie scores with a jab to the head.

Rush closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rush won't allow Gracie to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rush drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Rush as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gracie screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Rush! Nice submission victory there!
